Reading with Kai

Yesterday I had the opportunity to read with my adorable nephew Kai. This kid is so dang cute! He’s so sweet and a lot of the time is such a weird little kid. Like most three year olds, he’s a bundle of energy and is usually bouncing off the walls playing with my dog or getting into anything and everything he can get his little hands on.

But, sometimes when he’s a bit calmer he loves to read books with his favorite person in the world (besides his parents) and that person is...

My mom.

Aka grandma or as Kai says “Bama!” Fortunately for me, yesterday when Kai wanted to read a book my mom was taking a nap so he came to his second favorite person, me.

The book he was holding in his small hands as he asked, “Arissa, you read wif me?” was One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss; a classic from my childhood. Reading with little kids can be so fun and relaxing and I’m so glad Kai enjoys books.

Kai also likes to tell stories. Please enjoy his latest story below. :)
